Westerville, OH – Customers may now pick up requested items and return borrowed items to the Westerville Public Library.
This first phase features contact-less service for the health and safety of our community. Customers are encouraged to reserve items online or by calling 614-882-7277 ext. 2. Please be patient and expect delays as we adhere to best practices.
“We are excited to start offering these core services again. We miss seeing our regulars and are looking forward to greeting new faces. Now more than ever, it’s a pleasure and a privilege to offer comfort with a good book or a welcome escape with a favorite movie. We are ready to face the challenges that the coming months will bring. Our plan is to remain flexible and seek innovative solutions while keeping the health and safety of our community as our top priority,” says Erin Francoeur, Executive Director.
The library continues to follow recommendations from government officials, health officials, the Ohio Library Council, and the REALM project while planning a responsible restart to operations. Library staff will stagger shifts, wear face coverings, maintain social distancing, wash hands, perform daily symptom assessments, and disinfect common areas. Returned items will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before they are made available to others. While the library building remains closed, digital resources remain available 24/7.
At this time, we are estimating a delay of 2-14 days for reserved items. This is due to limited staffing, high demands, and quarantined materials. Please wait until you receive an email or phone notice that your item is ready for pickup before coming to the library. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
